Ashford Bowls Club Enjoying an Outstanding 2026 Season

Ashford Bowls Club has enjoyed an exceptional 2026 season so far, delivering outstanding performances across both county and national competitions.

County Finals Success

At the Middlesex County Finals, held over the weekend of 25–26 July 2026, the Club celebrated a number of impressive achievements.

County Champions Men's Pairs Ladies' Fours Ladies' Two Wood Pairs County Runners-up Men's Fours

These championship-winning teams will now go on to represent Middlesex at the National Finals.

The Club also enjoyed further success as one of Ashford's ladies, partnering a player from Staines Bowls Club, won the Over 55s Pairs, while another Ashford player claimed the Unbadged Ladies' Singles title.

National Competition Progress

Ashford Bowls Club has continued its impressive form on the national stage:

The Men's Top Club Team reached the last 32 of the National Competition, narrowly missing out on a place at the National Finals by just one shot. The Men's Double Rink Fours have progressed to the last 32, with victory in their next match securing a place at the National Finals. The Mixed Pairs have also reached the last 32, with a place at the National Finals awaiting the winners of their next match. The Ladies' Top Team reached the last 32 nationally. The Men's Double Rink team finished as County Runners-up.

The Club was also represented in almost every Middlesex County Semi-Final, demonstrating the strength, depth and consistency of its players throughout the season.

To reach the last 16 of a national competition, teams must first win their county competition before going on to defeat at least two county champions from other counties. Without a doubt, highlighting the exceptionally high standard required to progress.

With local league finals and club competitions still to be contested throughout late August and September, there is plenty more to look forward to. Congratulations to all of our players on their achievements so far, and we wish everyone the very best in the remaining competitions.
